This not-to-be-missed event will start with the Board of Directors' Meeting and American Concrete Pipe Association Social on Wednesday, April 2nd, and continue with PDH sessions, Mining and Research Facility tours, exhibitor interaction, the Awards Luncheon, Deadwood 'networking' sessions on Thursday, April 3rd, and more through noon on Friday, April 4th. In order to provide an exceptional learning and networking venue, this year's conference will be held at the Holiday Inn Spearfish Convention Center with busing provided to the tours, social, and dinner in Lead/Deadwood. Schedule With up to 11 hours of interactive PDH, including educational sessions and tours, plus social events and an exhibitor area -- the conference will be the perfect chance to learn about a variety of new topics, processes, and projects while catching up with colleagues, clients, and industry partners! Wednesday, April 2nd, will kick off with the SDES Board Meeting, then visit the Dakota Concrete Pipe Association Hospitality Room for an excellent opportunity to catch up with colleagues and friends! Thursday, April 3rd, is a full day of Professional Development Sessions at the Spearfish Holiday Inn Convention Center with plenty of time to visit exhibitors. We'll also celebrate our engineers and engineering achievements from the last year. Thursday afternoon we'll be boarding the buses for Lead/Deadwood for tours of the Wharf Mine and Reclamation Area, the Sanford Lab Visitor Center, and more. Following the tours, come socialize at the Thursday night social, then head downtown Deadwood for dinner and more. Buses will continue to run between Deadwood and Spearfish until 11pm. We'll wrap up the conference with more Professional Development Sessions on Friday around noon, giving you time to enjoy the hills for the weekend or drive back east.. Conference Lodging / Room Block Room blocks are reserved for the evenings of April 2nd and 3rd at the Spearfish Holiday Inn Convention Center at a rate of $110/night + taxes/fees. Individual reservations can be made by calling the Holiday Inn at 605.642.4683 and selecting option 2 for the Front Desk. Then, request the South Dakota Engineering Society room rate. There is no online registration option available for the block. The rate will be available until all rooms are booked, but we recommend booking early.
